Zu san li is an important point on Stomach channel of foot yangming

 

Location:: situated in front to one side of the leg,  3 cun below the du bi point ST35, away from the tibia leading edge of a cross-fingers (middle finger)

 

Locating the acupoint: on the left leg use your right hand, on the right leg with your left hand. Use the second joint of your index finger to slide along the tibial moving toward to the protruding bone Where the fingertip is pointing is the zu san li acupoint.


Indications: stomach pain, vomiting, dyspepsia with flatulence and noisy bowel, lower limb paralysis, diarrhea, constipation, diarrhea, malnutrition, mania, stroke, beriberi, edema, palpitations, shortness of breath, consumptive emaciation. It is one of the strong main point for the whole body and can be used to to improve immune function, for disease prevention and health maintenance.

 

足三里是足陽明胃經主要穴位之一。

定位:在 小腿前外側,當 犢鼻穴ST35下3 (外 膝眼下四橫指),距脛骨前緣一橫指(中指)

取穴時左腿用右手、右腿用左手以食指第二關節沿脛骨上移,至有突出的斜面骨頭阻擋為止,指尖處即為此穴。

主治:胃痛,嘔吐,消化不良而腹脹腸鳴, 下肢痿痺,泄瀉,便秘,痢疾,疳積,癲狂,中風,腳氣 ,水腫,心悸,氣短,虛勞贏瘦。為全身強壯要穴之一,能調節改善機體免疫功能,有防病保健作用。
