This herb may increase the risk of bleeding when taken
with blood thinning drugs, such as aspirin, warfarin (Coumadin©) or
heparin.
Use with caution when using anti-platelet
drugs such as clopidogrel (Plavix©), and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory
drugs (NSAIDS) such as ibuprofen (Motrin©, Advil©) or naproxen (Naprosyn©,
Aleve©).
This herb may reduce blood sugar levels. Use with caution when using
medications that may also lower blood sugar. Patients taking drugs for
diabetes should be monitored closely and medication adjustments may be
necessary.
This herb may lower cholesterol. Caution is advised when using medications
that may also lower cholesterol.
This herb may interact with narcotic pain relievers, antibiotics,
anti-fungal drugs, and drugs that affect hormones.
