Liver fire ascending 肝火上炎        (in English and Chinese 中英文)

Liver Fire Ascending

This is a diagnostic term used in traditional Chinese medicine.

Syndrome: dizziness, headache with swelling sensation, red face with pink eyes, bitter and dry taste in the mouth, usually with insomnia, burping sour liquid.  Usually the patients also have symptoms of hypertension, menopausal syndrome, mood problems. The plasma catecholamine (including epinephrine, norepinephrine, dopamine can higher than normal persons.

肝火上炎

證見:

臨床上證 見頭暈脹痛,面紅目赤,口苦口乾等為主要表現。常見於不寐,反酸。常常出現於高血 壓,神經官能症,更年期綜合症等疾病。患者血漿兒茶酚胺(包 括去甲腎上腺素(NE),腎上腺素(E)和多巴胺(DA)含量均較正常人的高。
