能收縮血管，升高血小板數目，促進血小板聚集及增高凝血酶活性，抑制纖溶，從而加速止血。體外實驗表明，小薊煎劑對白喉杆菌，肺炎球菌，溶 血性鏈球菌，金黃色葡萄球菌，綠膿杆菌，變形杆菌，大腸杆菌，傷寒杆菌等有一定的抑制作用。此外，本品尚能降脂，利膽，利尿，強心，升壓等。 | Actions & Indications: 主治﹕ | Taking it raw or as decoction can arrest bleeding. Being used in vomiting bleed, nose bleeding, hematuria (blood in urine), infection of urinary tract with bleeding, hematochezia (blood in stool), menorrhagia (abnormally heavy or extended menstrual flow). It is also beneficial for acute infectious hepatitis. 煮湯或生食有止血作用。 用於血熱妄動以及症見吐血，衄血，尿血，血淋，便血，血崩等，均可作輔助食療，對高血壓，急性傳染性肝炎亦有一定療效。 外用：搗爛外敷，治疔，瘡，癰，疽等腫毒及外傷出血。 | Chemical ingredients: 化學成份﹕ | Alkaloids, flavonoids (hispidulin-7-neohesperidoside , linarin, pectolinarin and luteolin 木犀草素), triterpenoid, and simple phenolic acids Its ingredients that arrest bleeding are: acacetin-7--dirhamnoside, rutin, caffeic acid, chlorogenic acid, protocatechuic aldehyde, and taraxasterol. 主要含生物鹼，黃酮 ( 剛毛黃酮-7 -新橙皮糖苷， 蒙花甙，大薊苷，木犀草素)，三萜以及簡單酚酸。其中止血活性成分 有刺槐素-7-鼠李糖苷，芸香苷 （蘆丁），咖啡酸，綠原酸，原兒茶醛以及蒲公英甾醇等。 | Dosage: 用量﹕ | For decoction: 10 to 15 g. Double the amount if using fresh herb. Do not over cook. External application: use appropriate amount. Smash and apply to affected areas. 煎服，10～15g， 鮮品加倍。不可久煎。外用適量，搗敷患處。 | Samples of formulae: 處方舉例﹕ | Bleeding after gastrectomy: using xiao ji 30 g, 800 ml of water. Simmered down to 200 ml. Used on 11 patients. Result was satisfactory. [1] Stubborn insomnia: using dry herb 6 g or fresh herb 10 g. Pour 30 to 50 ml of boiling water and soak ed for 10 minutes, using it before bed, 2 months as one therapy period, on 56 patients, produced good result and no undesirable side effect.. Xiao ji tan: Literally means charcoal of xiao ji. Put clean xiao ji sections into a wok. Stir fry in high heat till about 70% is charred and with sparks. Turn off heat. Spray with some water to put off the sparks. Take out and let sit to cool.
