Time of the Day and Optimum Qi Flow

in Different Channels 子午流注

These are the most efficient time to practise qi gong or therapy for specific illnesses according qigong theory or Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) but do not interfere with sleep. Sleep is very important in maintaining the immune system.    .

Gall bladder channel of foot shaoyang

1 a.m. to 3 a.m. 

Liver channel of foot jueyin

3 a.m. to 5 a.m.

Lung channel of hand taiyin

5 a.m. to 7 a.m.

Large intestine channel of hand yangming

7 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Stomach channel of foot yangming

9 a.m. to 11 a.m.  

Spleen channel of foot taiyin

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Heart channel of hand shaoyin

1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Small intestine channel of hand taiyang

3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Bladder channel of foot taiyang

5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Kidney channel of foot shaoyin

7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Pericardium channel of hand jueyin

9 p.m. to 11 p.m.
