fibrinogenSoluble plasma protein (340 kD 46 nm long), also called factor I, produced by the liver, composed of 6 peptide chains and present at about 2-3 mg/ml. It is a precursor of fibrin. It helps to produce blood clots like in stopping bleeding. Back to Prothrombin Time (PT)
