The American Indian Shaman Lady at Work

By: Joe Hing Kwok Chu

The following are photos taken and given by Pat Medsker while vacationing in Mexico.

The pictures show cactus worms were being prepared with chili,  salt and

other ingredients by a shaman lady. I have tried to taste it. (Thanks to Pat.)

The taste was not bad, but I do not know what it is for or if it is a seasoning.

Note:

Originally Shaman is a Manchurian (a Chinese minority ethnic group) term for the original Manchurian religion which later mixed with Buddhism.

In America the word Shaman refers to any witch doctor.
