yin chen hao tang  茵陳蒿湯

Name of Formula: yin chen hao tang (Jin Gui)

 

Uses: jaundice due to infection, yeast infection of the digestive tract, fever, lack of appetite, constipation, difficulty in urination, immediately feeling dizzy after eating.  It is also being used in cirrhosis of liver.

 

Prescription:

 

yin chen hao 9 qian, da huang 4.5 qian, shan zhi zi 1.5 qian.

 

Boil with water. Make into 2 servings

Note: qian = 3.75 grams (old measurement)

茵陳蒿湯 (金櫃)

主治: 傷寒發黃,及穀疸 (因於飽食失節,飢飽不勻,濕熱、食滯阻遏中焦所引起)。發熱不食,大小便秘,或食即頭眩,是為谷 疸。

方劑組成:

茵陳 九錢。大黃  ,四錢半。山梔,一錢半。

煎。作二服

註﹕一錢 = 3.75 克 (舊制)     

每週用五劑。服用四個月後改為每週三劑。
