Luan Fa Ji Zi Gao 髮雞子膏

Translated by: Joe Hing Kwok Chu  (in English and Chinese 中英文)

 

Name of formula:

Luan Fa Ji Zi Gao (human hair egg yolk cream) (Source: Zhuan Xin Fang)

Application: heat sores or herpes simple I of little children

Prescription: egg yolks 5 pieces, human hair a handful about  size of an egg.

Place the 2 items on an iron frying pan and heat. At first it seems very dry. After a while liquid will come out (fat from egg yolk). Then put into a china bowl. Smear on the boils, sprinkle ku shen powder over it.

藥方名:亂髮雞子膏 (劉禹錫《傳信方》

治孩子熱瘡。

熱瘡是急性疱疹性皮膚病。其主要徵狀為皮膚黏膜交界處發生成簇水泡、糜爛、潰破、結痂,疼痛相兼。

處方:雞子五枚(去白取黃),亂髮如雞子許大。二味相和於鐵銚子中,炭火熬,初甚干,少頃即發焦,遂有液出(蛋黃之脂肪),旋取置一瓷碗中,以液盡為度,取塗熱瘡上,即以苦參末粉之。
