ke ni shang qi 咳逆上氣 (in English and Chinese 中英文)

ke ni shang qi, a traditional Chinese medical term, with the syndrome of asthma, cough, fullness in chest, rapid breathing, more so when moving, unable to lie down in supine position, abundant of sticky phlegm, weak floating and slippery pulse, pale tongue with white fur, sweating, lack of energy, short of breath, weak voice, stronger exhales than inhales.

咳逆上氣: 喘咳胸滿、呼吸迫促、不能平臥、痰多粘膩、脈浮滑,是由於肺實氣閉所致。虛証主要症狀為咳喘面浮、脈浮大無力, 呼多吸少,喘促,動則喘甚,自汗神疲,氣短,聲音低怯,舌淡苔白這是“腎不納氣”所致。
