Name of Formula:
er chen
tang ( he ji ju fang)
Uses: chronic
bronchitis, chronic gastritis.
Prescription:
fu ling 19 g, chen pi 19 g,
ban xia 12 g,
gan cao 4 g, sheng jang
3 slices.
Bowl with two and
a half bowls of water.
Drink an hour
after meal while warm.
Note:
The name of formula "er chen tang" literally means
"two aged (ingredients) soup". The ingredients chen pi
and
ban xia are considered to be best when they have been
aged
for long time (chen).
An classical text mentioned that zhi
ke, chen pi, ban xia, lang du,
ma huang, zhu yu should
be aged (chen); then they are more effected.
Thus those
six herbs mentioned above are called "liu chen",
meaning
six aged (herbs). This formula "er chen" means "two aged (herbs)."
二陳湯 (和劑局方)
主治﹕ 胃炎。寒咳﹕濕痰咳嗽,痰多色白,胸膈痞悶,
惡心嘔吐,肢體困倦,頭暈心悸。
以上各證常見於慢性氣管炎。
處方﹕
茯
苓
五 錢, 陳皮 四錢,
半夏 三 錢,
甘草 一錢
, 生薑 三片。
水 兩 碗 半 煎 八 分。 飯後一小時
溫服 。
