Supply up to 4000 ~ 5000 calories per day if metabolism is high
and need more calories..
Provide 100 ~ 120 grams of protein to supplement the nitrogen
deficiency if needed.
Demand for the supply of minerals and vitamin B group is
increase because of the increase of calories intake.
Increase intake of food rich in iodine like sea weeds, helps
increase the storage of thyroxine and decreases the release but
too much can interfere with therapy. Using food rich in iodine is
an controversial issue. Before taking them please check with the
attending physician.
Avoid using coffee, strong tea, tobacco, alcohol and other
stimulants.
